In a 1/4 share you will receive roughly 150 pounds of packaged beef. You will pay for the 'hanging weight' of the animal. This is the weight of the entire 1/4 of the animal that you purchase. A half share will be double that; you will be purchasing HALF of the animal.
For a quarter you will need approximately 5 cubic feet, for a half you will need approximately 10 cubic feet.
In a standard quarter you will receive a combination of steaks, roasts, soup bones, short ribs, and ground beef. You can also request organs or specialty cuts such as brisket, tri tip, or prime rib. Since your beef is custom processed, you are ultimately in control of what cuts you get. If you want primarily ground beef with a few steaks, you can!
You will pay PF Beef Co. $5.00/lb hanging weight. You will pay the processor for the custom processing. Usually these fees are around $150 for a 1/4 share and $300 for a 1/2 share.

This is the amount you will pay directly to the meat market for your custom processing. When your beef goes in to be processed, you will call the market and they will go over a series of questions with you about how you want your beef cut and packaged. You will be asked how thick you want your steaks, how many steaks per package, how big you want your roasts, amount of ground beef per package, cuts of steak, if you want soup bones, etc. They will guide you through the process.
Our angus cross cattle are raised on our farm in a feed yard. They are fed a twice daily ration of grain and mineral, as well as unlimited access to hay and water. Our animals have access to shelter or sunshine, whichever they prefer at any given time.
Quarter and half shares will be available November and December 2026. Our beef is processed at Odenthals Meats in New Prague and O'Keefe's Meats in Le Center.

No we do not. At this time we are only on farm pick up and local delivery (south central MN). Please reach out if you are unsure of our location. Our merch products do ship nationwide.
